Re: National Safety Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes

On October 17, 2024, CWA and AT&T Labor held the Legacy T National Safety Advisory Committee meeting, virtually, at 10:00 a.m. (EDT).

In attendance for the Company was Guy Stewart, Lead Labor Relations and for CWA was Tony Shaffer, T&T Assistant to Vice President and Scott Wilson, President of CWA Local 6150.

During this initial meeting, Article 14 – Safety, Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 were reviewed. For reference, Article 14 is attached.

In reviewing Paragraph 3, both sides of the committee recognize and encourage the creation of local safety committees, as described in the first sentence. It was also recognized that these Local Safety Committees will forward their meeting minutes to the National Safety Advisory Committee on a regular basis, after every meeting. We encourage that you form a Local Safety Committee if you do not already have one.

If you have safety issues that you are finding difficult to resolve, please forward them to the National Safety Advisory Committee to be addressed at that level. Only issues that have been addressed at the local level will be discussed at the National level, as outlined in Article 14, Paragraph 2.

Once we review safety concerns from the Local Safety Committees, we will look into scheduling our next National meeting to address them.

Should you have any questions, please contact your Staff Representative.
